JEV AI Terms of Service

Account and credit terms for jevai.me, an independent Jev resource.

Welcome to JEV AI (jevai.me, "the Site", "we", "us"). The Site is an independent Jev model resource operated by an individual / sole trader under the laws of [Country/Region]. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site, including Jev model learning material, decision examples, account features, and on-demand feature credits purchased from the Site, available at https://jevai.me ("the Service").

Important: By creating an account, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Notice; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1 These Terms are the agreement between you and the operator of the Site regarding the Service, and together with the Privacy Notice and the Cookie Notice they form the complete agreement.

1.2 If these Terms conflict with the Privacy Notice or the Cookie Notice, the Privacy Notice governs personal data processing and these Terms govern everything else.

2. The Service

2.1 What we provide

The Site provides independent learning material and decision examples for the Jev model, plus account features that let you:

  • read Jev model overviews, capability notes, and integration guides;
  • use local decision example pages to understand how the model's decision primitives work;
  • follow official resource links to TypeSafe documentation and consoles;
  • manage your profile, API keys, stored files, notifications, and subscription preferences;
  • spend credits on paid feature add-ons offered by the Site.

The Service is a digital software-as-a-service product delivered over the internet.

2.2 Nature of the Service

The Service is a digital intangible product. Access to the features covered by purchased credits is enabled immediately after payment is confirmed. Because digital services are delivered instantly, refunds are subject to specific limits described in Section 5.

2.3 Relationship with TypeSafe

Jev and TypeSafe AI belong to their respective owners. The Site is not affiliated with TypeSafe AI, does not provide access to TypeSafe's models, API, or console, and does not sell Jev subscriptions, token credits, or compute. Applying for model access, creating a TypeSafe account, or using its API is a separate relationship between you and TypeSafe, governed by TypeSafe's own terms.

2.4 Third-party infrastructure (where applicable)

The Site runs on Cloudflare Workers and uses Cloudflare D1, R2, and KV for data, storage, and caching, together with third-party providers for email delivery and payment processing (see Section 8). The performance and availability of the Service may be affected by the operating status of these providers. Planned maintenance is announced in advance; material outages are communicated promptly.

2.5 Accuracy of material and examples

Model capabilities, availability, benchmark claims, and pricing are described with references to official sources and can change. Check official documentation before relying on them. The Site's local decision examples are illustrative, are not live model outputs, and are not guarantees of accuracy, performance, or outcome.

3. Accounts and Security

3.1 Account creation

Account features require an account created with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3.2 Account security

  • Contact support@jevai.me immediately if you detect unauthorized use.
  • Do not share your credentials with any third party.
  • Keep your account email address valid so you can receive billing, security, and policy notices.
  • Site API keys authenticate Site features only. They are not TypeSafe API keys and must not be used to access TypeSafe services.

3.3 Organizational accounts

If you register on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you are authorized to enter into this agreement for that entity and to bind it to these Terms.

3.4 Eligibility

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. You must not register an account or purchase credits for anyone under 18. See Section 11 (Children's Privacy) of the Privacy Notice.

4. Credits and Top-Up Plans

4.1 How credits work

Paid features on the Site use a credit model. You may purchase credit packs on demand, and credits are spent on the corresponding paid features. The credit packs available, the number of credits they contain, and their pricing are as shown on the model access page and at checkout.

4.2 Plan changes

We may change the contents of credit packs, credit consumption rates, or introduce new packs at any time. Price changes do not apply retroactively to credits you have already purchased.

4.3 Credit validity

Feature credits you purchase are valid for 12 months from the purchase date unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase. We send a reminder before credits expire.

4.4 Non-transferable

Credits are bound to your account. They may not be transferred, gifted, redeemed for cash, or combined between accounts, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

5. Billing and Refund Policy

5.1 One-time top-up authorization

Each top-up is a one-time transaction. Completing a purchase authorizes us to charge the amount shown at checkout to your payment method, and confirms that you understand the quantity and purpose of the credits purchased.

5.2 Auto top-up (not enabled)

The Service currently does not offer auto top-up, and we will not charge your payment method without your active action. If we enable the feature in the future, we will obtain your explicit authorization first, and you will be able to turn it off at any time in account settings.

5.3 Taxes

Unless stated otherwise, listed prices exclude applicable taxes (including VAT, GST, and sales tax). Where required by law, we collect and remit those taxes at checkout. Currency conversion and cross-border fees are charged by your payment provider under its own rules.

5.4 Billing disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, email support@jevai.me before filing a transaction dispute with your bank or card network. We commit to replying within 2 business days and to resolving confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

5.5 Refund policy

5.5.1 General policy

Consumed credits are generally non-refundable, except in the cases below.

5.5.2 Refundable cases

  • Unused credits within 7 days: Within 7 days of purchase, if the purchased credits are entirely unused, you may request a full refund.
  • Duplicate charges: Full refund for duplicate charges caused by a billing error.
  • Verified outage (over 72 hours): If the features covered by your purchased credits are unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to our fault, we provide a pro-rata refund or an equivalent credit.
  • Statutory rights: Where the law of your jurisdiction (for example the EU or the UK) grants a right of withdrawal or refund, that right is preserved. It no longer applies once you have started using the purchased credits.

5.5.3 How to request a refund

Email support@jevai.me with your account email, transaction ID, and reason. We confirm within 2 business days and return qualifying refunds to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of confirmation.

5.5.4 Non-refundable cases

  • Consumed credits, except in the outage case listed in Section 5.5.2.
  • Requests made more than 7 days after purchase.
  • Unused credits in accounts closed for violating these Terms or the acceptable use policy in Section 7.
  • Any other request outside the cases listed in this Section or required by mandatory law.

5.6 Credits when an account is terminated

If an account is terminated, whether by you or by us, unused credits remain available for 30 days after termination so you can appeal or request a refund within that window. After that period, unused credits expire and are non-refundable unless mandatory law requires otherwise or Section 5.5.2 applies.

5.7 Account data retention

Account data is retained for 90 days after account deletion, then deleted or anonymized in line with the Privacy Notice. Transaction and billing records may be retained longer to meet tax and accounting obligations.

6. External Services

6.1 Third-party links

The Site may link to TypeSafe documentation, consoles, evaluation platforms, and other third-party resources. Those services are operated independently; we are not responsible for their content, availability, or data practices. Following a link does not give the Site access to your TypeSafe account.

6.2 Service providers

The Site uses third-party providers for infrastructure, email, and payments, bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements. See Section 5 of the Privacy Notice for details.

6.3 No third-party endorsement

Descriptions of the Jev model on the Site are based on official public sources. The Site does not claim any partnership, endorsement, or agency relationship with TypeSafe.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

7.1 Permitted use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms, including personal learning, technical research, internal evaluation, and business planning reference.

7.2 Prohibited use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • engage in activity that violates any applicable law, regulation, or card network rule;
  • infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • bypass, interfere with, or disable the Site's security features, access controls, or quota limits;
  • resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise provide access to your account or the Service to third parties without our prior written approval;
  • systematically scrape or extract Site content or the Service at scale beyond ordinary personal browsing and learning;
  • upload content you do not have permission to store, or use user file storage for unlawful, infringing, or malicious material;
  • impersonate the Site, TypeSafe, or any third party, or invent a partnership with us.

7.3 Model- and brand-specific limits

Given the Site's nature as an independent resource, you specifically agree not to:

  • use Site content or marks in a way that suggests the Site is an official TypeSafe channel, official support provider, or authorized agent;
  • present Site explanations, examples, or conclusions as official documentation, official benchmarks, or official technical commitments;
  • use Site material to train, fine-tune, or benchmark any AI model that competes with the Site or with TypeSafe products, or to build derivative material that claims to represent TypeSafe's position.

7.4 Enforcement

If you breach this Section, we may suspend or terminate your account, restrict access, and preserve our other remedies. Credits in accounts closed for breaching this Section are handled under Section 5.5.4.

8. Data, Privacy, and Security

8.1 Privacy Notice

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Notice, which sets out the categories of data we collect, the purposes, the recipients, the retention periods, and your data rights.

8.2 Payment data

Payment card data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor, Waffo Pancake, and is not stored on our servers. We receive only the information needed to fulfil the order, such as transaction amount, payment status, and transaction identifier.

8.3 Retention and deletion

Account data and user files are retained for 90 days after account deletion, then deleted or anonymized; transaction records are kept longer to meet tax and accounting obligations. Sensitive data such as passwords is stored encrypted or hashed.

8.4 Security incident notice

If a security incident affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant regulators without undue delay and within 72 hours of discovery, as required by law.

8.5 Credential hygiene

Keep your account credentials and API keys secure and do not share them. Losses caused by your failure to safeguard them are your responsibility.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

9.1 Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any material or example.

9.2 Material and examples disclaimer

Model descriptions, benchmark references, pricing information, and local examples on the Site may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They do not constitute legal, medical, financial, security, or other professional advice and are not a guarantee of model outcomes. Before making technical or business decisions based on Site content, verify against official documentation and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

9.3 Third-party services disclaimer

The availability, pricing, and terms of TypeSafe and its services are determined independently by that third party and may change at any time. We are not liable for third-party outages, term changes, or data practices.

9.4 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this Section excludes liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Site content

The Site's page copy, layout, examples, and code are protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, you may browse, quote, and reasonably excerpt Site content for personal learning and internal evaluation, provided you credit jevai.me as the source.

10.2 Third-party content

Model names, trademarks, official documentation links, and third-party brands referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners. References are for identification and direction only and imply no licence or endorsement.

10.3 Content you submit

Content you submit through the contact form, user files, or feedback remains yours. By submitting it you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use it only as needed to provide and improve the Service. We do not use your submissions to train AI models without your explicit consent.

11. Term and Termination

11.1 Effective term

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service.

11.2 Termination by you

You may delete your account at any time in account settings or by emailing support@jevai.me. On deletion, unused credits are handled under Section 5.6.

11.3 Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account for serious breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or illegal activity, or where the law requires it. If we terminate the Service for reasons other than your breach, we refund the unused prepaid portion pro rata.

11.4 Survival

Sections 5 (Billing and Refunds), 8 (Data, Privacy, and Security), 9 (Disclaimers and Liability), 10 (Intellectual Property), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country/Region], excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

12.2 Informal resolution

Before starting formal proceedings, email support@jevai.me to attempt an informal resolution. We commit to responding within 15 business days of receiving notice.

12.3 Jurisdiction

Disputes not resolved informally are submitted to the competent courts; any mandatory right you have to bring proceedings in your place of residence is preserved.

12.4 Consumer rights preserved

Nothing in this Section affects rights you hold under the mandatory consumer protection law of your jurisdiction of residence.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes we give at least 14 days notice before the effective date by email or in-site notice, and we update the date at the top of this page. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13.2 Severability

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

13.3 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice and the Cookie Notice, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior understandings.

13.4 No waiver

Our failure or delay in exercising any right under these Terms is not a waiver of that right.

13.5 Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in a business reorganization, merger, or transfer of assets, with prior notice to you.
